Course Description

Participants will learn about the available medications for latex allergies, but the primary focus is on the paramount importance of avoidance. The course guides learners through the implementation of engineering and administrative controls, encouraging collaboration with supervisors to assess and modify workplace environments. It emphasizes practical steps, such as reducing tasks for sensitive employees, employing alternative barriers, and rotating personnel in enclosed spaces. Furthermore, participants will discover alternative glove options like latex-free vinyl or nitrile and understand their right to a safe working environment, with employers responsible for providing suitable solutions.
