Course Description

This comprehensive course focuses on ammonia personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection, emphasizing their critical role in ensuring the safety of individuals working with or around ammonia. Participants will gain insights into the types of PPE required for safe ammonia handling, learn how to select, use, and maintain PPE specific to ammonia-related tasks, understand the importance of respiratory protection in mitigating inhalation risks, and recognize the criteria for choosing appropriate respiratory devices. The course aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to safeguard against ammonia exposure and create a safer working environment.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the various types of PPE required for ammonia handling, including chemical resistant gloves, goggles, face shields, and protective clothing, and will be able to select, use, and maintain them effectively.
